GLENDA GAYLE RAMSEY, AIA, CSI was born in Weatherford, Texas and graduated from Big Spring High School.  She then attended Texas Tech University and graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture Degree.  After graduation she joined the firm of Foster, Henry, Henry and Thorpe in El Paso, Texas. Glenda joined the firm of Harper Perkins Architect in 1988 as an Intern Architect.  In 1990, Glenda moved on to work in local industries, and then rejoined the firm of Harper Perkins Architect in 1997 as a Registered Architect. Glenda became a full partner and stockholder in Harper Perkins Architects. In 2006, Glenda was named President and became the principal stockholder in the Firm.

She is an active member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church of Wichita Falls.  She teaches Sunday School and has served as Chairman of various boards and committees within the church.

Glenda Gayle Ramsey is a Registered Architect in the State of Texas and holds certification with the National Council of Architectural Registration Board as well as also being a Registered Accessibility Specialist in the State of Texas. Glenda’s husband Scott is a teacher at Petrolia Elementary School.  Glenda, Scott and their three children make their home on a small farm in Clay County out side of Wichita Falls.

 

 

RALPH B. PERKINS, AIA was born in Seymour, Texas. He attended Midwestern State University, Lubbock Christian University and Texas Tech, graduating from Texas Tech in 1972 with a Bachelor of Architecture Degree. After graduation he joined the firm of Charles Harper.  In 1979, he became a partner in the firm and the name changed to Harper Perkins Architects. In 2004, Ralph Perkins becomes the principal stockholder in HPA when Charles retires and becomes a Consultant to the firm.

Ralph is a member of the American Institute of Architects, Texas Society of Architects, Wichita Falls Chapter of AIA, Construction Specification Institute, Wichita Falls Chapter of Construction Specifications Institute, Founder Lions Club, and Texas Tech Exes.

Ralph is Registered Accessibility Specialist (RAS) with the Texas Accessibility Standards. 

Ralph is a Certified Document Technologist, CDT, through the Construction Specifications Institute. 

Ralph Perkins is a registered Architect in the States of Texas and Oklahoma, and holds a Certificate from the National Council of Architectural Registration Board.  He is a licensed Interior Designer in the State of Texas. 

He and his wife, Patsy, are members of First United Methodist Church of Seymour, where Ralph teaches the Exodus Sunday School Class, serves in the Choir, and is Chairperson of the Pastor-Parish Relations Committee. They are the parents of a son and a daughter and grandparents of three grandsons and one granddaughter.

 

 

SAM K. KENSHALO, ASSOC. AIA, CDT, RAS was born in Wichita Falls, Texas and is a 1980 graduate of S.H. Rider High School. After graduation, he joined Harper Perkins Architects as a draftsman and printer. Since then, he has progressed to his current position as an Intern Architect, Project Manager, Chief Cost Estimating Specialist, and Marketing Coordinator.

Sam is an associate member of the American Institute of Architects, Texas Society of Architects, and Wichita Falls Chapter of AIA. He is certified as a Construction Documents Technologist with the Construction Specifies Institute. He is a Registered Accessibility Specialist (RAS) for the Department for the Texas Accessibility Standards (TAS). He is also certified as a Building Code Accessibility/Usability Specialist by the International Conference of Building Officials.

Sam’s service to his church includes involvement on the local, District, and Conference levels. He is currently a member of First United Methodist Church of Wichita Falls.

Sam’s community involvement currently includes serving on the Board of Directors for the Senior Citizens Services of North Texas, Inc. and as Chairperson of the Building Committee. He has completed his 9th year in being the Softball & Ball Throw Event Director for the Area 9 Special Olympics Spring Games. He has also been involved with City of Wichita Falls Athletic programs, serving on the Wichita Falls Sports Commission and the Softball Player Infraction Committee. Sam is currently serving his 8th year on the S.I.D.S. Benefit Softball Tournament Committee and as the Assistant Tournament Director. He has been a member and/or coach of multiple City and State Championship softball teams and has participated in numerous National Softball Tournaments representing Wichita Falls. His additional community service and involvement has included being a worker and House Captain for Christmas in April and Habitat for Humanity projects; and a member of the Boy Scouts (earning the rank of Eagle Scout in 1974) and Order of the Arrow, Wichita Lodge 35.

Sam is single and continues to make his home in Wichita Falls.

 

 

MATTHEW D. ENGLISH, RAS, ASSOC. AIA, CSI, CDT was born in Wichita Falls, Texas and graduated S.H. Rider High School. He attended Texas Tech University and graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture Degree. After graduation he joined the firm of Harper Perkins Architects to pursue his goal of becoming a Registered Architect. In 2005, he completed testing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations and is now Registered Accessibility Specialist certified by the State of Texas. Currently, Matt serves as an Intern Architect and Project Manager for the firm, with his duties also including the role of being the IT & CAD Manager. He is also a Graphics and Visualization Specialist, creating computer-generated 3D renderings and models of our Projects.

Matt is a member of the American Institute of Architects, Wichita Falls Chapter of AIA, Texas Society of Architects, Construction Specification Institute, Wichita Falls Chapter of CSI, Texas Tech Ex-Students Association. He has held the position of Associate Members Representative for the Wichita Falls Chapter of AIA on several occasions and has served as a board member on the Wichita Falls Arts Council. Matthew is a member of the Optimist Club of Wichita Falls and is currently serving as a Board Member. In addition, he volunteers his time with the local chapter of Habitat for Humanity.

Matthew and his wife, Kim, have a daughter, Kate. They attend First United Methodist Church where Matt has been a participating member all of his life. He currently plays in the Handbell Choir, the Asbury Ringers, and, when needed, provides his services as both a percussionist and tenor in the choir. He has also served as a mentor to children during their time in Confirmation Class. They make their home in Wichita Falls.

 

 

JUSTIN PAINTER was born and raised in Wichita Falls, Texas. He graduated from S.H. Rider High School in Wichita Falls in 2005 and holds a Certificate of Completion in Computer Drafting and Design Technology.

Justin joined Harper Perkins Architects in 2006 in his current role as a CAD Special

 

 

JASON MEISEL was born at Sheppard Air Force Base in Wichita Falls, Texas.   He graduated from Iowa Park High School in Iowa Park, Texas in 1992.

Currently, he is seeking a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering at Midwestern State University. Jason joined Harper Perkins Architects in 2006 in his current role as a CAD Specialist. He currently resides in Wichita Falls with his wife and daughter.

 

 

LILLIE M. CAMPBELL was born in Childress, Texas and graduated from Childress High School.   Lillie has held many positions over her thirty-five years of work history, including  Legal Secretary with Steven L. Parker, Attorney at Law, Tecumseh, Oklahoma, Church Administrative Staff with Harlan Park Baptist Church of Conway, Arkansas,  and Accounting Resources Coordinator with American Transportation of Conway, Arkansas before moving back home to Texas.

Lillie joined the firm of Harper Perkins Architects, Inc. in 2002 as an Administrative Assistant.  She now serves as Office Operations and Accounts Manager.   Her position includes Accounting, Payroll, Human Resources and general office administration.

Lillie is an active member of Faith Baptist Church of Wichita Falls.   Lillie’s husband, Wayne, is retired Army and works at Sheppard Air Force Base in Student Finance and they are residents of Wichita Falls.  They are the parents of two sons.

 

 

ANGELA JUDD was born in Dallas, Texas and graduated from Mesquite High School. She attended community college and worked in the Business Offices at Professional Ambulance Service and Tri-City Hospital until the birth of her second child. She was blessed to be a stay-at-home mom for several years. Angela re-entered the workforce as a substitute teacher as her children grew older. She then gained experiences in her positions with Service Lighting & Electrical Supplies and their sister company Lighting Services and Sign Repair in Mesquite, Texas. Her position included Customer Service, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Human Resources, Payroll, Scheduling, as well as assisting with Purchasing, Shipping, and Receiving.

Angela joined the firm of Harper Perkins Architects, Inc. in 2003 in her current position as an Administrative Assistant. She is currently attending Midwestern State University in pursuit of a Bachelor of Business Administration. She is the mother of two children; daughter, May and son, Gage. They attend church where they live in Burkburnett, Texas.

 

 

CHARLES HARPER, FAIA is a native of Bonham, Texas, and a graduate of Bonham High School. He started his architectural career by enrolling in Architecture School at Texas Tech. He served his Architectural internship with firms in Wichita Falls and Lubbock. In 1962, approximately one year after Harper moved to Wichita Falls from Lubbock, the firm of Harper, Martin and Associates was created. That firm was succeeded by Charles Harper Associates in 1968 and by Harper Perkins Architects in 1979. Harper now continues his association with the firm as  an ongoing consultant.

Harper has achieved the Certificate of the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards and is a Registered Architect in the States of Texas, Oklahoma, Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Arkansas, Alabama, North Carolina and Florida which are the states where Harper has practiced the last 40 years. Charles is also a Certified Document Technologist (CDT) through the Construction Specification Institute.

He is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) and the Interfaith Forum for Religion, Art and Architecture (IFRAA). In 1986 he was honored by the AIA by being named “Fellow, American Institute of Architects” (FAIA) for his work in advancing the profession.

In 2004, Charles retired from the full time Architectural Profession but continues to volunteer his services and act as a professional Consultant for Harper Perkins Architects as well as many other organizations. Betsy, his wife, has recently retired as a Special Education teacher at Hirschi High School, Wichita Falls ISD, and they are the parents of two sons and the grandparents of three grandsons and two granddaughters.
